Dr Jason Briggs
Dr Jason Briggs takes pride in using a patient centred and team based approach as his basis for improving the health and wellbeing of his patients. As your GP, it is his belief to be open and kind to your concerns and spend time addressing your medical issues.
He completed his BA Hons Biokinetics (UJ) and MBBCH (Wits) in Johannesburg and has always had a keen passion for the African bush which motivated him to make Hoedspruit his home.
Dr Briggs has a special interest in orthopaedics, mens health and sports medicine. His kind nature and soft hearted approach allows for any problem to be overcome no matter how daunting the situation may be.
He looks forward to meeting you and assisting with your healthcare needs!
Dr Amber Polley
Dr. Amber Polley is a compassionate and dedicated GP, whose own journey with chronic health challenges has deepened their empathy and commitment to holistic care.
Special interests include using LCHF (Therapeutic Carb Restriction) in treating a variety of conditions. She is passionate about screening for, preventing and managing chronic conditions and helping patients achieve their goals with a holistic approach.
Driven by a love for Jesus, Dr. Polley is passionate about extending that love to every patient, offering not only medical expertise but also understanding and support. Outside of medicine, Amber enjoys riding her horse – Juliette, spending time with friends and family, playing guitar and dabbling with some paint.
Dr Michaela Gough
Dr. Michaela Gough, after growing up in Cape Town and working as a GP in Polokwane, decided to make the move to Hoedspruit to live the wildlife dream.
Her passion lies in a holistic approach to healthcare, dedicated to tailoring treatment plans to each individual’s unique needs.
With a particular interest in mental health, She is committed to providing compassionate care that supports both physical and emotional well-being.

Dr Stephanie Thomas
Dr Stephanie Thomas is a friendly, well rounded and compassionate GP with a passion for childrens health.
Dr Thomas focuses on a patient centred and holistic approach to every consult, hoping to work together to get the best outcome for all her patients. She has a keen interest in paediatrics and loves working with children.
After graduating from the university of Pretoria and growing up in Gauteng, she moved to Hazyview to complete her community service year in a rural district hospital. Her love for wildlife and the bush was born, making the move to Hoedspruit a dream come true. Outside of medicine, you’ll most likely find her on a game drive enjoying the bush and everything it has to offer.
